“We are excited to be kicking off the fall season of DTA," said Anita Begnaud, CEO of DLU and DDA. "With a first-of-its-kind partnership with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, that will be a great opportunity to connect campus to community by welcoming students to downtown Lafayette and encouraging them to enjoy everything that the heart of our city has to offer.”

The free event starts at 6 p.m. at Parc Sans Souci and concludes at 8:15 p.m. Downtown Alive will feature the following musicians:

  • Friday: The Rouge Krewe

  • Sept. 1: Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters

  • Sept. 15: Bonsoir Catin

  • Sept. 22: Tommy McLain featuring CC Adcock & Special Guest with Jon Cleary

  • Sept. 29: Roddie Romero & the Hub City All-Stars with special guests

To commemorate the 40th anniversary, in addition to the 2023 season’s merchandise, DLU is offering limited edition versions of the 1983 original DTA! poster design on T-shirts, posters and stickers.

All merchandise is available for purchase online and during all events.
