Downtown Muncie welcomes artists, makers for January's First Thursday

MUNCIE, Ind. — The first First Thursday of 2022 will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, in downtown Muncie.

At Cornerstone Center for the Arts, 520 E. Main St., artist and Indiana native Bill Pattinson will be featured. His work "captures those fleeting moments in time, which are truly Americana," according to a release. Pattinson studied art at LaSalle Institute, Washington School of Art, Portland, Oregon (correspondence) and Indiana Wesleyan University (formerly Marion College,) Marion, Indiana. He has exhibited and won over 100 awards through juried shows, is featured in numerous publications, and was a member of the Board of Directors of Hellenic Arts Institute, New York City.

Madjax, 515 E. Main St., will feature the its makers and artists: The Aerial Annex and Drinking Bear Forge/Jacob Buck Price in the first-floor galleries, and Lucas Reidenbach and Uryah Arrowood, Tom Stader, Angel Gillette, Debra Gindhart Dragoo, and Leon Crosby/art collaboration, Georedt Huggins, Popup artists, makers and more in the second-floor galleries. The Guardian Brewery will be open 5-8pm.

The Shoppe by Pink Leaf, 108 S. Walnut St., will offer 25% off spice and tea helpers.
