Doylestown Arts Festival Returns In 2022: What To Expect

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Doylestown Arts Festival, a beloved two-day outdoor tradition with music, art, art demonstrations, and live music, is returning for its 31st event in September of 2022.

Founded by a small group of businesses in 1991, the festival often draws between 15,000 and 20,000 visitors each year.

"Designed to illuminate the region’s ongoing commitment to arts and culture, the Doylestown Arts Festival annually features 150+ juried artists, live music on [five] stages, live art and interactive demonstrations," according to the organization website.

The Bucks County Classic will be a part of the festivities with high-speed bike races around town on Sunday.

Performer applications will be open until April 11; applications for artists will remain open until May 6; and demonstration and sponsorship applications will both be open until July 1.

Food court planning will be finalized by Feb. 7, but the festival expects to hold a more scaled-back food court due to the impact of COVID-19. Vendors can likely apply to be part of the food court at that time.

"Our favorite part of the weekend is getting to see our community appreciate your works and talents," festival representatives wrote to artists. "If you're looking for a unique venue to showcase your work in 2022, the Doylestown Arts Festival wants to help you make it happen!"

More than 100 volunteers work to make the festival possible each year.

The 31st annual event is scheduled for Saturday, Sep. 10 and Sunday, Sep. 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival is free to the public.

Those interested in applying to be vendors can find more information here.
