At least 44 people were arrested and three police officers injured as 35,000 people took to the streets of Brussels on November 21, to protest against measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

According to Het Belang van Limburg, police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse crowds, after demonstrators threw bottles and fireworks and tried to get past barricades.
