DPS superintendent now up for contract extension just months after retirement announcement
The Dayton Board of Education will consider and vote on a proposal to extend the contract of current superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Lolli, who had previously announced her retirement at the end of the school year.

Board of Education President Dr. Chrisondra Goodwine posted a statement on the district’s website Thursday, indicating the board will consider a contract extension for the once-retiring superintendent during the next board meeting Tuesday.
The contract would be a one-year extension, according to Goodwine’s post.
Lolli announced in January her plan to retire at the end of her contract, which concludes at the end of July.
It was not clear if Lolli changed her plans to retire or the district’s change in course came as a result of a search firm hired to find her replacement.
