Dr. Pimple Popper Takes On A 'Pearl-Like' Epidermoid Cyst In A New YouTube Video
Dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper just dropped a new video on YouTube!
In the new clip, Dr. P squeezes out an epidermoid cyst from a patient's neck.
Popaholics were in awe of how clean and quick the removal was: "Sometimes the smallest ones give the most resistance!! Great job Doc, so meticulous," said one Popaholic.
Dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper has had to deal with cysts of all shapes and sizes, but this might be one of her smallest ones yet. In a brand new YouTube video, Dr. Pimple Popper takes on an epidermoid cyst. The seven-minute-long clip shows Dr. P using her gloved hands and her surgical tools to extract a "pearl-like" cyst from her patient's neck.

The cyst may have been small, but Dr. P had to work a little harder than expected to remove the growth. During a mid-procedure check-in, she even complimented her patient adding, "I feel like she's tough and she's not saying anything."
(FYI, an epidermoid is a harmless cyst that can be up to several inches large. It’s also one of the most common kind of cysts since it occurs when skin that is supposed to shed builds up instead.)
Dr. Pimple Popper also shared a preview of the video on her Instagram. “Couldn't resist this squeeze! 💥,” she said in her caption.
As the video starts, Dr. P punctures the top of the cyst. As she squeezes, a large amount of keratin protein is pushed out of the incision site. And after a few minutes of poking and prying, the patient's skin is finally free of the cyst. In regular Dr. Pimple Popper fashion, she cleans the area and carefully applies stitches to the open wound.
Popaholics went right to the comments section to share their thoughts. One user wrote, “Alexa play ‘sweet dreams are made of these’ 😍.” Meanwhile, another user couldn’t resist the urge to throw in a good pun. “You mean…couldn’t recyst.”
While Doctor Pimple Popper didn't come up with any look-alikes for the cyst, fans came up with comparisons of their own. "It looked like a little pearl to me 🙂," added one viewer. "I was thinking the same thing..too bad it didn't come out looking like one lol," replied another.
Pearl or not, this cyst is still a gem.
