Dracut mechanic wins $1 million on scratch ticket, heads back to work

A mechanic from Dracut has won $1 million on a scratch ticket, lottery officials said.

Tyler Considine won the big prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “100X Cash” instant ticket game.

Considine opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes, state lottery officials said. A mechanic, Considine said that he planned to go to the bank to deposit his winnings that day and then head back to work.

He purchased his winning ticket at Dracut Town Variety, 1734 Lakeview Ave. in Dracut. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

The odds of winning the $1 million prize in the “100X Cash” game are 1 in 1,612,800, according to the state lottery.
