The BAFTA Film Awards this year had the 'Angela Basset did the thing' rap, and the BAFTA Game Awards had Vampire Survivors snatch victory from expected winners Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarök to win the big prize. What will the BAFTA TV Awards 2023 hold?

Well, the ceremony is over a month away, so we won't find out just yet, but it has been announced that RuPaul's Drag Race judge Michelle Visage and BBC Radio 1 legend Clara Amfo are hosting the red carpet on May 14, so we are hoping for some fun antics as the celebrities arrive.

"I’m delighted to be working with BAFTA again this year," Clara said. "The UK has been spoiled with such a glorious range of compelling and entertaining television, so to celebrate the nominees on the red carpet alongside my fabulous friend Michelle Visage will be such a joy.

"I truly couldn’t think of a better person to have by my side as we speak to this year’s incredible nominees."

Michelle added: "I’m so happy to be back in my favourite place to celebrate the biggest night in British TV. I can’t wait to have some laughter and fun, welcoming this year’s fantastically talented nominees onto the carpet alongside my co-host and dear friend, the amazing Clara Amfo."

The red carpet will be broadcast live on BAFTA's YouTube, Facebook and Twitter pages, ahead of the main ceremony, which will air on BBC One and via iPlayer from 7pm, hosted by Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett.

Last year's ceremony tied into Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa's announcement as the Fourteenth Doctor. Will someone try and top that this year?
