RuPaul’s Drag Race star Bianca Del Rio and Neil Patrick Harris have joined forces for a new drag series.

The pair will star in Drag Me to Dinner, a new TV series from Hulu which sees teams of drag queens compete to throw the best dinner party. Del Rio and Harris will serve as judges for the series alongside Haneefah Wood and Harris' husband David Burtka, with Murray Hill on hosting duties.

Premiering on May 31, Drag Me to Dinner will be a “riotous, format-busting, fourth-wall-breaking, unapologetic sendup of traditional reality competition shows”, with each episode incorporating a different theme. It will also be executive produced by Harris and Burtka.

Del Rio, who won the sixth season of Drag Race, unveiled the new show via their social media channels.

“Roll up those sleeves and sharpen those nails, girls. Two teams of drag queens go head-to-head and serve up the most snatched dinner parties of all time!" Del Rio wrote on Instagram. "Stream Drag Me To Dinner May 31st @hulu #dragmetodinner.”

The first season will consist of 10 episodes, with the cast including Drag Race’s Alaska, Jinkx Monsoon, BenDeLaCreme and Jaida Essence Hal. Icons from The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, including Meatball and Biqtch Puddin', will also appear.

Drag Me to Dinner won’t be the only show that both Jinx Monsoon and Harris will appear on, with the pair also set to star as villains in BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who.

Harris will make his appearance in the 60th anniversary specials, which are due to air at the end of the year, whilst Monsoon will be a part of the upcoming 14th series.

“It’s not easy to encapsulate how excited I am with words,” Monsoon said of joining the show. “I was saying to the director yesterday, the role that I’m playing, it’s like everything I ever dreamed about doing as an actor in one character.

“It’s insane. It’s like all of my actor fantasies have been rolled into one character, and now I get to do it all on a show that I love, written by a prolific writer [Russell T Davies] - a voice of our generation who has written so many astounding things,” she added.

Drag Me to Dinner will air in the US on Hulu on May 31. RuPaul's Drag Race US airs on MTV in the US and WOW Presents Plus in the UK.
