Feb. 14—Zane Brothers is looking forward to this year's "Draggin' Main" event. One of the guests will be from a classic 1960s television show.

"This is our tenth year," Brothers told The News Monday. Brothers is a board member of the event's organizing committee.

The event's co-founder, Gene Porter, described "Draggin' Main"as an "all things related to cars" event.

"It's a non-discriminatory motor event," Porter said. " Cars, bikes, trucks, tractors, cheap, expensive, unfinished, finished, vintage, classic, new, old."

This year's event runs from Sunday, June 11 to Saturday, June 17.

"The kickoff party is June 11," Brothers said. "That's followed by the nightly classic drive-ins event."

Brothers talked about the Friday downtown block party.

"The block party will feature the 'Custom Cruise,' Brothers said. "For the cars it's an invitation only parade up and down main street. But for onlookers the public welcome."

Brothers said this year Draggin' Main will feature a special motorcycle stunt crew Friday night on Main Street.

"It all starts at 6 p.m. June 16," Brothers said. "And I don't know that we really have a stopping time on that."

The motorcycle stunt crew will also be performing Saturday, June 17, in Hillcrest Park at the "Gearhead Gathering" from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Brothers described the Gearhead Gathering as more than a car show.

"But it's a car show," Brothers said. " If you're proud of your car bring it out."

Brothers said that Saturday night it's the Saturday Night Draggin' Main cruise.

"Everybody just bring out your car and join in," Brothers said.

Brothers said this year's special guest at Draggin' Main will be actor Butch Patrick who played "Eddie Munster" in "The Munsters" TV show that ran from 1964 to 1966.

"He's bringing the 'Dragula Dragster' and 'Eddie's Chopper,' both from the TV show," Brothers said.

Brothers said it's the dragster that Herman Munster, the dad in the show, drag raced.

"It looks like a big coffin," Brothers said. "Patrick owns all of the original vehicles from the show."

Brothers said Patrick will be sending a personalized video clip about his appearance at Draggin' Main and as soon as it's available it will be posted on the Draggin' Main website, and all the Draggin' Main social media pages.

Brothers also said the organizing committee is having a drawing for a 1987 Chevrolet C-10 Custom short bed pickup.

"Tickets are available on the Draggin Main website 'DragginMain.org,'"Brothers said.
