According to a report by KSAT, former child star Drake Bell has been charged with attempted endangering children and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles after appearing in Cuyahoga County Court on Thursday.

The 34-year-old actor and musician pleaded not guilty to both charges and posted a $2,500 bond before being released. The court ordered Bell to refrain from contacting the victim to which he agreed.

KSAT's report said that the incident allegedly occurred on December 1, 2017. Bell, who also performs under the moniker Drake Campana, was slated to perform at The Odeon Concert Club in Cleveland, Ohio during his tour. He posted about the performance to his Twitter account in October 2017 but it has since been deleted as of Friday afternoon.

Fox 8 News in Cleveland reports that "Bell allegedly engaged in an inappropriate chat with the alleged victim that, at times, was sexual in nature." Fox 8 said the victim filed a report with her local police department in Canada a year after the incident allegedly occurred and that Canadian authorities contacted Cleveland police, who eventually ran an investigation concerning the allegations. The investigation revealed that she "established a relationship with Bell several years prior" to attending the December 2017 concert.

Bell is most known for his roles on Nickelodeon's 2000s programs The Amanda Show and Drake & Josh. TMZ reports that he wasn't indicted until last month. A pretrial hearing has also been scheduled for June 23.
