Drake Bell teases a 'Drake & Josh' reboot: 'We’re working on something'

Hug me, brotha! Drake Bell revealed a "Drake & Josh" reboot is in the works.

The Nickelodeon sitcom star teased the new project during an interview with People on the iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet Thursday, saying he and former co-star Josh Peck are in talks with several networks about a new show.

“We’re working on something,” he told the news site. “I’m excited. I think we have a great idea.”

He continued, "(The show) is going to be way more creative, way cooler than just you know the college years or something like that... We knew that if we were ever going to come back, it’s got to be something cool. I’m excited to see what the fans think.”

"Drake & Josh" ran from 2004 to 2007 and starred Bell and Peck as stepbrothers with opposing personalities who got into crazy shenanigans while living together.

USA TODAY has reached out to Bell's rep for comment.
