Drake will play first Milwaukee show, but do you remember when he was Bucks fans' archenemy?

Drake is coming to Fiserv Forum on Aug. 3, playing a concert in the city for the first time. We wonder if he'll be wearing a Milwaukee Bucks championship jersey onstage.

You'll recall the Canadian was quite the nuisance to Bucks fans during the 2019 playoffs, when the Bucks lost to eventual champion Toronto in a heartbreaking 4-2 Eastern Conference Finals series. Milwaukee went on to win the 2021 title, so perhaps all's well that ends well. Or is it?

Shall we review Drake's antics in 2019?

Against the Bucks, Drake was Raptors superfan, trash talker ... massage therapist?

The self-appointed Raptors hype man was roaming somewhat freely on the sidelines during Games 3 and 4 of the series. He was seen giving Raptors coach Nick Nurse a … shoulder massage mid-game? He was laughing demonstratively at a missed Giannis Antetokounmpo free throw. He wasn't afraid to talk some trash to Bucks players.

Milwaukee reacted, Drake countered, NBA stepped in

One Milwaukee radio station stopped playing his music, taking "a break from Drake" during the series.

It was mostly in good fun, but there was an edge to it, too.

He changed his Instagram avatar to a picture of Mallory Edens, daughter of Bucks owner Wes Edens, when Mallory wore a T-shirt featuring the likeness of Drake rival Pusha-T to one game. The league told Drake to tone down his antics, leading to a more subdued Game 6 when the Raptors eliminated the Bucks. Also, rapper Gucci Mane, who briefly became a huge Bucks fan, apparently lost six figures in a bet with Drake over the series outcome.

In 2020 regular season, Drake took one more shot, then referenced Giannis in a better light in 2021

But it wasn't over after that playoff series. The next season, Drake showed up to a Bucks-Raptors game with two WWE belts, trolling the Bucks and their pregame WWE-inspired ritual.

But in 2021, he was making a kinder Bucks reference, invoking the name of Giannis Antetokounmpo on the song "7AM on Bridle Path," part of his Certified Lover Boy album. ("Could at least keep it a Buck like Antetokounmpo.")
