Thursday

Dinner on the Bridge

7 p.m., Old National Events Plaza, 715 Locust St. in Evansville. Tickets are $99.

The Wine Series presents a foodie experience with a five-course meal prepared by the Old National Events chefs and a wine selection from Snoop Dogg's 19 Crimes. There will also be live music amid the Downtown scene from the sky bridge over Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Friday

Black History Book Fair

6 p.m., Evansville African-American Museum, 579 Sondra Matthews Way, Free

The Soul Writers Guild presents a black history book fair and talk with Lincoln High School Alum '61, Dr. Delores Johnson Kelly Price who will be giving a talk on growing up in the community and fostering change on a local level.

'Pericles: Prince of Tyre'

Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at Stagetwo@321 at 321 N. Congress St. Tickets are $15

The Evansville Shakespeare players present "Pericles," which follows a man who leaves home to escape death and finds more on his journey than he expected. Now after being separated by a storm from his love ones, he journeys back to finding them.

'Ruth'

Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m., USI Performance Center, 8600 University Blvd. Tickets are $20 for the public and USI employees, $2 for USI students, $4 for non-USI students.

This one-act opera "Ruth" follows the narrative around a Moabite woman who pledges herself to the Israelite people through an oath to her mother-in-law to later become the great-grandmother of David through her marriage.

Thunderbolts take on the Birmingham Bulls

Join the Evansville Thunderbolts for Faith Night, where free special-edition hockey pucks will be given away. There will also be scholarship giveaways, and contemporary Christian band, Level Ground will perform.

Saturday

Free days at Wesselman Woods

9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wesselman Woods, 551 N. Boeke Road. Free

For the last Saturday of each month, Wesselman Woods opens the Nature Preserve for free. The preserve features more than four miles of trails, a five-acre nature playscape, and a bird sanctuary. This year features free yoga sessions every free Saturday at 11 a.m.

Maker Super Saturday

11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Evansville Museum of Art, History, and Science, 411 SE Riverside Drive. Free

This family-friendly event features activities for everyone, including a talk with Pulitzer-nominated author T. Harriman, hands-on activities including Ciholas's laser maze, watching how bobbin lace is made, meeting the friendly robot Orson and helping him code and learning how factories manufacture your favorite things.

USI Swimming and Diving- Senior Day

1 p.m., USI Aquatic Center, 8600 University Blvd. Attendance is $5

Cheer on the Screaming Eagles swimmers and divers as they take on Rose-Hulman University for Senior Day.

Eclipse show

1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday weekly, Koch Immersive Theater and Planetarium, 411 SE Riverside Drive. Tickets are $ 7 for adults and $5 for youth and members.

This eclipse-oriented planetarium show demonstrates a simulation of the conditions that produce a solar and lunar eclipse

UE's men's basketball faces Illinois State

1 p.m., Ford Center, 1 SE Martin Luther King Drive. Tickets range from $12 to $47.

Demolition City Anniversary

4 to 6 p.m., Skate World, 1300 Fairfield Drive. Free but skate rental costs a fee

Demolition City Roller Derby is celebrating their 17th anniversary with rollerskating. All ages are welcome to join for games, treats, and skating with the local team. It also celebrates the team's return to Swonder for the 2024 season.

Howl at the Moon Dueling Pianos Fundraiser

5:30 p.m., The Lumber Yard, 512 Barret Blvd., Henderson, Ky. Tickets are $75

The Henderson Area Arts Alliance is hosting this annual fundraiser that brings high-energy live music by piano-playing vocalists who take song requests from the crowd, no matter genre, decade or artist. Song requests donations to benefit the arts alliance. Tickets include dinner, a seat at the stage tables, and hours of entertainment, and the evening will feature a silent auction.

The Magic of Motown

7:30 p.m., Victory Theatre, 600 Main St. Tickets are $49 to $69

Enjoy a journey through Motown's Best including The Temptations, The Jackson Five, Diana Ross & The Supremes, and more with a cast of 15 power-house vocalists that embody the Magic of Motown through dynamic choreography, costumes, and perfect harmonies that capture the sights and sound of Motown.
