Dramatic video from Ukraine’s Kraken special ops group shows liberation of Novoselivske
The Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense, published a video of the assault on the village on its YouTube channel.
The military says that the Kraken unit’s assault groups, supported by artillery and heavy equipment, together with fighters from the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, carried out a fire raid on Novoselivske.
During the assault, the enemy was knocked out of the settlement, the Russians suffered losses in equipment and personnel, and some of the invaders were captured.
Today, Ukrainian soldiers are in full control of Novoselivske.

The Ukrainian military’s General Staff of reported on Dec. 29 that the Defense Forces of Ukraine had advanced 2.5 kilometers in the direction of the city of Kreminna, Luhansk Oblast, in one week.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on Dec. 30 that the Ukrainian army was advancing little by little in certain areas of the front.
According to the U.S. newspaper the New York Times, significant successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have recently been observed in this direction, which may lead to the de-occupation of Kreminna and the taking control of the main roads leading to Severodonetsk and Lysychansk.

The area has important logistics nodes that the Russian army uses to supply its invasion forces in the Donbas.
Meanwhile, fierce fighting continues in the area around the Donetsk Oblast town of Bakhmut, where Russian invasion forces have for months been trying to oust Ukrainian troops from their positions – so far with little success.
Ukrainian forces continue to hold Bakhmut, although the town has largely been destroyed. About 10% of its pre-invasion population of 70,000 are thought to remain in the town, which has no electricity, running water, gas or heating.
