Draymond 'doesn't give a damn' about play-in tournament originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
The Warriors are headed to the postseason -- well, kind of. Clinching a spot in the play-in tournament Monday, the Dubs will continue to play games after the conclusion of the regular season but will need to earn their spot in the playoffs through the NBA's second annual play-in tournament.
After their win over the Utah Jazz on Monday, the Warriors currently hold the eighth seed in the Western Conference. If the season ended today, Golden State would face off against the Los Angeles Lakers in the first game of the tournament.
Whether it's a spot in the play-in tournament or not, the Warriors are focused on winning, as echoed by Draymond Green postgame.
When asked about clinching a spot in the tournament Monday night, Green was honest about what his focus is.
"No, I don't give a damn about the play-in tournament. I care about the game, we want to win the game and compete in the playoffs, but I don't give a damn about this play-in tournament. It is what it is."
The Warriors are focused on one thing, and that's winning.
Play-in tournament or no play-in tournament, Draymond's goal is to win basketball games.
