Wilmington-shot Fox TV show "Our Kind of People," a soapy drama starring actress and model Yaya DaCosta, was canceled back in May after just one season.

But while you won't be getting any new episodes of "Our Kind of People," you might be able to score some of the stylish clothes worn by its upper-crust characters.

According to Johnny Griffin, director of the Wilmington Regional Film Commission, the show is having a wardrobe sale to liquidate its inventory. The sale will be 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at EUE Screen Gems Studios, 1223 N. 23rd St. in Wilmington.

Sale items include men’s and women’s dress wear, casual wear and athletic wear, as well as shoes and accessories. A smaller selection of children's clothing is available as well.

According to material promoting the sale, many of the clothing items are high-quality brands. The only payment methods that will be accepted are cash and check.

"Our Kind of People" shot in Wilmington in 2020 and 2021 and premiered during the fall of last year.

Based on Lawrence Otis Graham's 1999 book "Our Kind of People: Inside America's Black Upper Class," it starred DaCosta as a woman with a hardscrabble Boston upbringing who was on a mission to break into the Black elite by moving to the tony beach town of Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard.
