Dressed to discover: How to help provide school uniforms for Collier students
More than $12,500 has been raised the past two weeks to buy uniforms for Collier County students in need.
But The Collier Community Foundation, in partnership with the Naples Daily News, is still far from its $75,000 goal for the Dressed to Discover campaign.

What is Dressed to Discover?
Dressed to Discover is a campaign to collect donations from the community to help pay for uniforms for roughly 2,500 low-income students in the Collier County School District for the 2023-24 school year.
As of March, 60% of Collier County School District students were enrolled in the free and reduced lunch program. Of this district's 32 elementary schools, 23 have a uniform policy.
How much money has been raised?
As of March 30, the campaign has raised $12,000.
How many people have donated?
As of March 29, 97 people have donated.

How much money is needed?
The goal is to raise $75,000, and with a match from the Richard M. Shulze Family Foundation, it would provide a majority of the children enrolled in the program with a uniform.
How much do school uniforms cost?
A donation of $30 will supply one student with two uniforms for one year. A donation of $600 would provide a classroom of 20 students with uniforms for a year.
Have any donors provided uniforms for a whole class?
Yes, so far nine donors have donated $600 or more to cover entire classrooms.
