Drew Brees goes undercover and surprises employee with amazing gift

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees became a new man on the season premiere of Undercover Boss Wednesday night, where the Super Bowl XLV MVP really liked his new look. Maybe a little too much.

“It’s actually even better than I thought it was going to be,” Brees said of his new caveman look. “How did I just become Matthew McConaughey? Alright, alright.”

McConaughey he was not, as his daughter made quite obvious when Brees video chatted with his family soon after getting the prosthetics.

“No, I don’t like that!” his daughter yelled before she started crying. This coming after his wife’s first word when seeing him was simply, “Gross.”

Brees bought 25 percent of Walk On’s Sports Bistreaux in 2015. So he went to work at the location near the Superdome in New Orleans to train as a dishwasher. Brees may have fumbled his way through the dishwasher training, but what’s really important, he got to know one of his employees, Anderson. Anderson divulged to Brees that he had to drop out of college when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and is now saddled with $30,000 in debt. Soon after, Brees revealed himself.

Brees later, via video, informed Anderson that he was giving him Saints season tickets, but Brees’s business partner and owner/CEO of Walk On’s, Brandon Landry, had an even bigger surprise for Anderson.

“Drew and I talked,” Landry told Anderson, “we want to relieve that debt. And so we’re going to give you $30,000. And in addition, we’re going to give you an extra $10,000 to help your mom out and and to keep going.”

Anderson, as it happens so often on Undercover Boss, couldn’t hold back his emotions.

Undercover Boss airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
