Drinkin’ on the Job…shhhh, there's secret oasis behind Maestro's Bistro
We are always excited to get the scoop on the “new game in town,” and this month’s cocktailin’ experience is one for the record books! Not only is it hot-off-the-presses new, it has a level of intrigue not found in most of our drinkin’ holes. As we teased a few months ago, Arielle and Sammy of Maestro’s Bistro & Supper Club have dipped their toes into a new venture, Entre Nous, a speakeasy that only those “in the know” can access … and we have the scoop right here.
Intrigue from the start
While many patrons of Maestro’s will not be aware of the secret oasis tucked behind the main restaurant, we encourage you use this boozy bit of knowledge and give it a go! You have two ways to score your spot at Entre Nous … just give a whisper to your bartender in Maestro’s or book it on Open Table (through Maestro’s), and you will be given top-secret instructions on how to access this special hideaway. Just wait to be blown away by the experience from the “secret start” to finish!
Adam and Joe, resident cocktail masters, worked their magic and gave us a peek at what’s in store (including some rare treasures) for those who dare to slip into this hideaway!
The Galaxy Mollusca
Starlight shimmers and shooting stars sprinkle the side of this cocktail that is truly a diamond in the night. Served in a vintage goblet with a daring yet delightfully dark Tito’s infusion, the first sip delivers a burst of flavor that is sweet on the front, tart on the back. This one will have you wishing you could drink the night sky regularly!
Bennett’s Guardian Angel
This 1920’s straight martini glass is filled to the brim in memory of a favorite uncle and the family secret (and apparently unbeatable) sweet potato soufflé. Angel Envy Bourbon, aged tawny port, and sweet potato-infused syrup help recreate a fond memory in liquid form. And the creativity doesn’t stop there - a specially added finish will knock your socks off. We can say without a doubt that this comfort-in-a-cup has truly earned its wings.
Spicy Blackberry Riesling Margarita
These beyond-talented bartenders really kick it up a notch with this libation. The combination of house-made jalapeño-infused booze, lime, Cointreau and fresh jalapeño is not for the faint of heart. Spice-loving folks, this pretty little thing with a kick is for you!
Aztec Enlightenment
True genius shows in this thunderbolt of a drink. You will be awed by the black truffle-infused Volcano Reposado, Mexican chocolate-infused simple syrup, Mole bitters, Angostura bitters and a creative conglomeration of spices that enhance and elevate. This one is fresh on the nose and understated and comes with a special “gift with purchase”… a Mole chocolate brownie brittle, flecked with chili flakes and chocolate nibs, that will satisfy your sweet tooth. Absolutely incredible!
Boiled as an Owl & hungry?
Chef Tom is whipping out some amazing creations from the kitchen! During the dinner hours (5 – 10 pm), folks can enjoy dishes from Maestro’s menu, but the real fun starts at 10 with a tapas menu for any splifficated or zozzled revelers. Tom surprised us with the Escalopes Demi-Coquilles St. Nicole (bay scallops on the half-shell), and HOLY COW they were amazing! We can’t wait to try the “Crispy Inkers” or the “Bootlegger Tacos” – as always, we are suckers for a cleverly-named dish!!
Burnin’ the Midnight Oil…
For those who suffer from bedtime procrastination … or just aren’t ready to shut down the holiday celebrations … Entre Nous is the coolest game in town! Open until the wee hours (1:30 am Tuesday – Thursday, and 2 am on Friday & Saturday), it is the bee’s knees for a guaranteed good time! Offering live music from local talent, special reserved booths and private booze lockers for “Diamond Members” (inquire with the proprietors), and even a special rate at the Westin Poinsett next door for those who just might have taken it a step (or two) too far, Arielle & Sammy have created a true late-night gem!
