Driver Arrested After Car Slams Into Scaffolding On East Side

The driver suffered minor injuries and was arrested for driving with a suspended license, according to police.

- New this morning. A messy scene on the East side of Manhattan overnight when a man drove into a scaffolding structure. The structure appears to have collapsed into the street. Police say the driver was speeding when he crashed near East 58th Street and Third Avenue shortly after 4 o'clock this morning. He suffered minor injuries, but no one else was hurt. The man was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
