Driver dies when truck flips and crashes through business, North Carolina cops say
A truck flipped and slammed through the wall of a business, killing the driver, according to North Carolina police.
Officers responded to a crash at around 10:45 p.m. on March 15 and found a Chevrolet Silverado in the lobby of a Hafele America Co., according to a news release from the Archdale Police Department.
The driver, Richard Scott Bazen, 59, was still inside the vehicle, the release says. No one else was in the truck.
Bazen died of his injuries, police said.
The cause of the crash remains unknown, the release says.
Hafele America Co., a furniture and hardware wholesaler, declined to comment. The business was closed at the time of the crash, according to hours of operation listed online.
An obituary for Bazen could not be found online.
Archdale is about 90 miles west of Raleigh.
