A driver was hospitalized after crashing their vehicle in Dayton Wednesday afternoon.

Dayton Police and Fire responded to a crash in the 600 block of South Gettysburg Avenue at 12:42 p.m., Montgomery County Regional Dispatch confirmed.

When emergency responders arrived, they found a pickup truck with heavy front end damage and debris throughout the road.

The driver was injured following the crash and required medical attention, dispatch said. The person was transported to Miami Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Dayton Police led the investigation into the crash.
