A woman was rescued Tuesday morning when she lost control of her vehicle and veered into Garfield Park Lagoon on the West Side, fire officials said.
Around 11 a.m., the vehicle was near Central Park Avenue and Washington Boulevard when the driver lost control and went into the lagoon. The driver was rescued and taken to Humboldt Park Health hospital.
Fire officials said her injuries were not serious.
