Driver killed after overturning vehicle, flipping into Seminole County pond
A 48-year-old Lake Mary man was killed early Monday after they lost control, overturned the vehicle, and crashed into a Seminole County pond, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At around 5:30 a.m., an SUV was traveling west on Bridgewater Drive near Lake Brittany Court when the man lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason, overturning it into the pond, said the FHP’s Lt. Kim Montes.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Troopers are waiting on the medical examiner to arrive to make a positive ID on the driver,” Montes said.
Bridgewater Drive is blocked off, according to the FHP.
