Driver shortage forces change in city bus schedules

Due to a shortage of both full-time and part-time bus drivers, the Wichita Falls Public Transportation Division will operate a modified service through April 14.

"Service impacts will vary during this timeframe," the city said in a press release.

Here are the changes:

  • No Saturday service

  • Eastside, Central, North, and Connector Routes run 5:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Southeast and Southwest runs 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.

People interested in becoming a bus driver should contact the Human Resources Department on the City of Wichita Falls’ webpage.
