What’s Driving You Crazy? – More pain on the already difficult 95/515 freeway
LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) – This one’s short – but maybe not so sweet.
We’re talking about the long painful ride on the 95/515.
The Nevada Dept of Transportation is taking the northbound side down to two lanes from Boulder Hwy up to near Charleston for 19 hours a day every day and night this week.
Kind of odd hours, though: the work is scheduled to start at 8 at each night and run until 3 each following afternoon, meaning afternoon drivers will have three northbound lanes between 3pm and 8pm, but morning commuters get that all-too-familiar two lane squeeze.
Also: the exit from the northbound freeway to Boulder Hwy will be closed during those same hours.
Maybe light at the end of the tunnel? NDOT says this whole thing is scheduled for that infamous “substantial completion” in August of this year.
