Drone Footage Captures Woman's Romantic Beach Proposal
A woman’s romantic mid-July beach proposal in the northeast English town of Tynesmouth was captured in drone footage shared with Storyful.
Drone pilot Alan Blakey told Storyful he had been cycling along the coastline of Tynemouth when he “spotted the very special beach proposal with ‘Marry Me’ written in the sand.”
“It was such a perfect and romantic evening I just had to capture what was happening,” he said.
Local media reported the couple as Toria Swales and Holli Di Rossi. The Chronicle said Swales suggested the pair go for a seafront stroll after dinner on Wednesday, July 14. As they made their way toward King Edward’s Bay, Di Rossi spotted the large letters in the sand. After getting over the shock, Di Rossi accepted the proposal. Credit: Alan Blakey via Storyful
