Drone Footage Shows Destruction Caused by a Tornado in Sumrall, Mississippi

A tornado struck Sumrall, Mississipi, causing damage to many buildings and facilities, as seen in this aerial footage recorded by Eugene Chambliss of Bliss Aeronautics, on December 17.

A preliminary damage survey conducted by the National Weather Service in Jackson, Mississippi, suggested that an EF2 tornado went through Lamar County around Sumrall and then into far southern Covington County on December 16. The wind speeds were estimated to be around 132mph.
