Drone footage shows lava flowing out of Iceland volcano

Lava can be seen bubbling and flowing from the the volcano on the Reykjanes Peninsula, some 30 kilometres southwest of the capital Reykjavik, often in bursts.

Professor Sigurjon Jonsson, who flew the drone, worked on the science and monitoring leading up to the eruption, which began on March 19 and has become a tourist attraction, drawing hundred of visitors every day.

Volcanologists have no idea how long the eruption will continue, saying it could stop soon or continue for years, possibly even decades.
