Flooding caused by monsoonal rains on July 31 forced the Interstate 70 at Glenwood Canyon, Colorado, to remain closed to motorists.
Drone footage filmed by the Colorado Department of Transportation on Sunday, August 1, shows the extent of the mudslide damage to the canyon and its surrounding areas.
According to local reports multiple mudslides have been triggered in recent weeks due to heavy rain over an area burned by a wildfire in western Colorado.
