Drone strike ignites fire at major Russian oil refinery in Volgograd, blaze covers 300 square meters
A fire broke out at the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery in Volgograd, Russia, as a result of a drone attack on the morning of Feb. 3, the ASTRA Telegram news channel reported.
The refinery is the largest producer of petroleum products in the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation.

The fire has already been extinguished, but at its peak, it spread over 300 square meters. Despite this, the governor of Volgograd Oblast, Andrey Bocharov, claimed that the drone attack was repelled.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that two UAVs were intercepted over Volgograd Oblast, four more over Belgorod Oblast, and one over Rostov Oblast. There were no casualties as a result of the attack.

A drone attack was reported in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast overnight on Feb. 2-3, and the night before, a Ukrainian drone attacked Voronezh.
