A thermal imaging camera demonstrated the extreme heat being emitted by the Cumbre Vieja volcano on September 21, which erupted on the Spanish island of La Palma on September 19.

This video taken by the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain shows the volcano continuously erupting and the hot lava flows encroaching on residences.
