Drones attack Moscow, damaging building near Russian Defence Ministry

Russian media and Telegram channels have reported that drones have attacked the Russian capital, damaging a building next to the Russian Defence Ministry. Another drone hit the Leroy Merlin business centre in Moscow.

Details: Telegram channel Shot reported at about 04:00 on the drone attack on Moscow, due to which the sounds of explosions could be heard over the city.

The channel reported on the explosion in the Moscow business centre on Likhachev Street. "The glass on the upper floors of the building where Leroy Merlin is located was broken. A drone had previously attacked there," Shot wrote.

At the same time, Telegram channel Mash reported that glass was broken in a building on Komsomolsky Prospekt, located not far from the Russian Defence Ministry, and pieces of a drone were found near the building.

Mash reported that there is currently no information about casualties or fatalities.

 
 

The TASS news agency, citing emergency services, confirmed that the pieces of drone were found on Komsomolsky Prospekt, and another drone had hit a high-rise business centre on Likhachev street.

And the Mayor of Moscow Sobyanin reported that "drone strikes were recorded on two non-residential buildings at around 04:00". He said there was no serious damage or casualties.

It was noted that traffic is being blocked on Komsomolsky Prospekt and Likhachev Street.
