FREMONT - Hundreds of Easter fans attended the annual Hayes Easter Egg Roll at Spiegel Grove on Saturday.

Children and parents were asked to take three eggs each to participate in the event that is held in Fremont each year. It began when Rutherford B. Hayes was in the White House.

Youths ages 3-10 were invited to participate in the egg roll contest. The Easter Bunny was on hand as was "President Rutherford B. Hayes." Activities included a scavenger hunt, story reading, a craft and corn hole toss.
