SEASIDE PARK - A body found on the beach here Wednesday morning has been identified as that of a Monmouth County man who went missing in the water Sunday, police said.The man was 31-year-old Wilmer Chavez of Howell, police said.

Chavez's body — spotted around 7 a.m. — was recovered at the G Street Avenue beach, according to Sgt. Andrew Casole, a spokesperson for the Seaside Park Police.

On Sunday, Chavez went missing in Seaside Park after he was unable to be rescued during a distress call at Stockton Avenue beach, police said.
