Drunk drivers flip car, hit tree in separate crashes, Cornelius police say

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Two drivers face DUII charges in separate car crashes Thursday morning, according to Cornelius police.

Both crashes took place sometime after 7 a.m., but officials say one driver flipped their car and the other hit a tree.

Officials in Cornelius say the crashes are a reminder to never drive while drunk.

“Remember, driving under the influence is dangerous and can have serious consequences,” they said in a post on social media. “Please drive responsibly, designate a sober driver, or use alternative transportation options for everyone’s safety.”
