Duck Donuts To Open In Levittown This Week

LEVITTOWN, PA — Here's some good news for doughnut lovers. Duck Donuts, the Mechanicsburg-based chain known for its made-to-order doughnuts, will open its first Bucks County location on Saturday in Levittown.

Located, in Langhorne Square Shopping Center, at 1411 Lincoln Hwy., the shop is set to open at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 18. Owned by franchisees John Ringwald and Mildred Miller, it will be Duck Donuts' 11th location in Pennsylvania.

"My family has been vacationing in the Outer Banks for decades, and we have always loved Duck Donuts' simple and joyful model," Ringwald said.

Ringwald owned and operated health clubs throughout Pennsylvania, while Miller was a fitness and yoga instructor and therapist, and a life coach.

"We are beyond excited to serve this edible ring of happiness, and spread smiles with all of our unique and delicious treats in a clean, courteous, family-friendly oasis of fun," said Miller.

For its grand opening, the store's first customer in line on Saturday will get a Duck Donuts gift basket. From July 20-24, the store will offer special deals each day.

  • Monday: $1 off milkshakes

  • Tuesday: $1 off a dozen doughnuts

  • Wednesday: $1 off scoops of Bassetts Ice Cream

  • Thursday: One free doughnut with chocolate or vanilla icing or simply glazed with rainbow sprinkles in celebration of Sprinkle Day

  • Friday: One hot or iced coffee in any size for 99 cents

The 2,000-square-foot store will be one of the largest Duck Donuts locations in the country and designed to reflect the franchise's beach theme.

In addition to doughnuts, the Levittown location will serve Duck Donuts’ signature coffee blends—Riptide Roast and Light House Blend—espresso, breakfast sandwiches, doughnut sundaes and scooped ice cream from Philadelphia-based Bassetts Ice Cream, milkshakes and more.

The owners say they'll be focused on customer and employee safety as they open during the green phase of Pennsylvania's plan to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Employees will wear face coverings and gloves at all times, high-touch surfaces will be sanitized frequently and the store will comply with state and federal guidelines for distancing, they say.

Customers will be asked to maintain six-foot distancing and plexiglass barriers have been installed throughout the store.

At Duck Donuts, customers create their own doughnut combinations by choosing from a variety of toppings, coatings and drizzles. There is a viewing area where they can watch their doughnuts being made.

Duck Donuts will be open this Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

After that, hours will be Sunday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
