Duke basketball score vs. Oral Roberts: Live updates from March Madness NCAA Tournament 2023

Duke surges into March Madness on a nine-game winning streak that included a run to its 22nd ACC Tournament title. But in Thursday's first-round NCAA Tournament game in Orlando, Florida, the No. 5-seeded Blue Devils ( 26-8) face a dangerous No. 12 seed in Oral Roberts (30-4) at 7:10 p.m. on CBS.

Duke's hot, but the Golden Eagles are hotter. They own the longest winning streak in the country with 17 straight.

The Golden Eagles swept the Summit League Tournament and regular-season titles behind league player of the year Max Abmas, who was a key member of Oral Roberts' Sweet 16 team in 2021 and averages 22.2 points per game, ranking seventh nationally.

The Blue Devils have focused on defense and rebounding under first-year coach Jon Scheyer, holding opponents below their scoring average 30 times this season and out-rebounding opponents in 28 games. Duke ranks fifth nationally in rebounding margin (+8.1).

Kyle Filipowski leads Duke in scoring at 15.4 points per game, and he had 16 double-doubles this season, ranking first nationally among freshmen.
