The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared gorgeous new images of their family visiting Kate Middleton's’s garden at the Chelsea Flower Show. The pictures show how George, 5, Charlotte, 4, and one-year-old Louis gathered moss, leaves, and twigs alongside their mom to help decorate the RHS Back to Nature Garden. Hazel sticks collected by the family were also used to make the garden’s den.

The images include one of Louis, who turned one last month, looking delighted to be walking as dad William looks on.

Kate took her husband and children to see the finished garden at the west London flower show this afternoon where photographer Matt Porteous captured images of the family. She has been working on the project for months alongside award-winning landscape architects Andrée Davies and Adam White of Davies White Landscape Architects.

The space is designed to be a woodland setting for families and communities to come together and connect with nature.

The Duchess of Cambridge is a strong advocate for the benefits that the outdoors has on physical and mental health, and the positive impact that nature and the environment can have on childhood development.

She has taken part in a rare interview about the project, telling Monty Don in an interview for the BBC: “I really feel that nature and being interactive outdoors has huge benefits on our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for young children. I really hope that this woodland that we have created really inspires families, kids and communities to get outside, enjoy nature and the outdoors, and spend quality time together.”

The Back to Nature garden features a swing, a den, and a wide range of plants, trees, and shrubs including Princess Diana’s favorite forget-me-nots.
