The first job fair of the year, hosted by Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation (DAEDF), included several companies around the county like CBM Driving Academy, Cimarron Energy, Comfort Keepers of Duncan, DRH Health, Elara Caring, Equus Workforce Solutions/Duncan Location, Express Employment Professionals — Duncan, Farmers Insurance, First Bank & Trust Co., Gore Nitrogen, Halliburton Field Camp, Halliburton Manufacturing Center, NOV-Wilco, Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (Veteran Services), Onin Staffing, The Simmons Center, Stephens County Jail, The Territory, Think Ability Inc. and Universal Fidelity Life Insurance.

Henry Lehr, Business and Industry Coordinator at DAEDF, said they look forward to hosting these job fairs four to five times a year.

"We had a really good turn out today," he said Friday. "We had over 20 businesses."

According to Lehr, they had over 150 job seekers attend the job fair as well.

"It's really exciting to see, not only (for) the business community, but (for the) people showing up to come get jobs."

Lehr said they look forward to helping area businesses provide job opportunities for the community.

Those who attended the job fair were able to speak with employers about available jobs, received the opportunity to fill out applications, as well as have a potential interview and possibly be hired on the spot.
