Duncan Hines Is Selling Personal-Sized Unicorn Cookies and Pudding Cups

Duncan Hines is jumping on the unicorn food bandwagon with its latest offering.

The brand will be introducing Unicorn Cookies and Pudding cups in stores soon, according to Junk Food Mom blogger and other images of the dessert that flooded social media this week.

Reps for Conagra Brands, Inc. — Duncan Hines’ parent company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois — confirmed to PEOPLE that the product is something they’re testing, but is not quite ready for the masses yet. “The Cake Cup is in our innovation pipeline, but still in development,” they said.

Thomas M. McGough, co-chief operating officer and executive vice-president of Conagra Brands, Inc., told Food Business News earlier this month that his company was expanding Duncan Hines’ product offerings.

“Many of our snacking brands were treated as center-of-the-store commodities, and they were locked in their legacy format, and that was particularly true of Snack Pack, Swiss Miss, and Duncan Hines,” he told the outlet in a statement. “But when you reframe these three brands as sweet treats, you open up a massive demand space.”

Duncan Hines would hardly be the first company to hop on this colorful trend, which really went crazy in 2017 when Starbucks released the Unicorn Frappuccino. Kraft recently unveiled unicorn-shaped macaroni and cheese, Lucky Charms added a unicorn marshmallow, and Chuck E. Cheese is now selling rainbow unicorn churros.
