Dunkin Donuts, Jimmy John's coming to The Junction

Jan. 18—Logansport is about to run on Dunkin', and get an opportunity for some free smells.

Dunkin' Donuts and Jimmy John's are the latest business to sign up for The Junction, which is the former site of the Logansport Mall.

The announcement was made Wednesday afternoon at the Logansport-Cass County Chamber of Commerce Annual Lunch and the State of the City & County addresses.

Bill Cuppy, chamber president and president of the Cass Logansport Economic Development Organization, made the announcement midway through the program, bringing a shocked gasp from an audience member and happy laughter.

Cuppy said construction will being in March. Both businesses will be located in The Junction parking lot, not in the main stretch of retail space.

"We are finally at a point where we aren't just calling on developers and seeing what sticks and what comes here," Cuppy said. "They are calling us, which is a great paradigm shift from years past."

Cuppy said residents could feel a buzz going around Logansport that showed people's excitement towards the new businesses that had opened over the past year and those that are coming.

Joe DiCosola, owner of The Junction, said he was excited to see the two businesses doing a split store concept at the location.

Both Dunkin' Donuts and Jimmy John's are owned by Inspire Brands. The company launched its first co-branded store in Atlanta in February 2022.

"We've had some great progress with other national brands and hope to share some news within the next 90 days," said DiCosola. "Once released, we'll commence phase three of the project late spring/early summer."

Dunkin' Donuts and Jimmy John's join Harbor Freight, which opened this week, and Hilton Home2 Suites at The Junction.
