Dunlap, Notre Dame swimmers lead Peoria-area athletes headed to IHSA girls state finals

Illinois High School Association girls swimming and diving sectionals were held on Saturday. Event winners and those other individuals meeting the state-qualifying times advance to this weekend's IHSA state finals at the FMC Natatorium in Westmont.

Dunlap won the Pekin Sectional with 279 points, edging out Moline by 54 points. Galesburg (182 points), Pekin (167) and Richwoods (129) rounded out the top five.

Here are the Peoria-area state qualifiers:

200-yard medley relay: Dunlap 1:49.32 (Shannon McCall, Ava Salverson, Grace DiGiallonardo, Mazie Streitmatter)

400-yard freestyle relay: Dunlap 3:37.83 (Shannon McCall, Ally Unruh, Grace DiGiallonardo, Ava Salverson)

200-yard freestyle: Olivia Kula (Pekin) 1:58.57

200-yard individual medley: Grace DiGiallonardo (Dunlap) 2:12.54

50-yard freestyle: Lily Forrow (Galesburg) :24.51

100-yard butterfly: Bailey Amerman (Peoria Notre Dame) :58.57

100-yard freestyle: Ava Salverson (Dunlap) :53.16

500-yard freestyle: Bailey Amerman (PND) 5:16.19

100-yard backstroke: Shannon McCall (Dunlap) :58.47

100-yard breaststroke: Ava Salverson (Dunlap) 1:07.40

200-yard freestyle for athletes with disabilities: Amelia Heinze (Washington) 3:15.06

50-Yard freestyle for athletes with disabilities: Amelia Heinze (Washington) :36.41
