Dunnellon pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash in Levy County; FHP is investigating

LEVY COUNTY — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a 34-year-old Dunnellon resident.

An FHP news release says the man, whose name was not provided, was laying on Northeast 110th Lane near Northeast 109th Street north of Bronson when a vehicle struck him.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the location at 5:53 a.m. Thursday. Officials believe the incident occurred between 4 and 5:45 a.m.

Troopers said the area where the man died is very dark. His family has been notified, officials said.
