DuPage County Launches Restaurant Relief Program

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — DuPage County is doing its part to help restaurants that are impacted by the current new coronavirus shutdown. County Board members recently approved $2.5 million in Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funds to aid local restaurant owners.

To apply for a grant of up to $15,000, a restaurant must:

  • Be located within the geographic boundaries of DuPage County

  • Derive more than 50 percent of their revenue from the sale of food or liquor

  • Have a gross revenue of less than $4 million

  • Be in compliance with Governor J.B. Pritzker's executive orders

“We understand the severity and the danger associated with this virus, but we also understand the negative economic impacts these orders will have on our businesses. We are dedicating millions to provide relief to local businesses while we continue to fight the spread of COVID-19 in our communities,” DuPage County Chairman Dan Cronin said in a news release.
