Duran Duran’s Andy Taylor is unveiling a new album after starting a cancer treatment that he says has given him his life back.
The guitar player was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer in 2018 and has now told ITV that it was “a death sentence”.
But Taylor is now having a treatment known as PSMA therapy, which can prolong life, and is back making new music.

Asked what it had given him, he replied: “Hope.”
“I’ve been given every dream in life I ever wanted including my life back,” said the 62-year-old.
Although Taylor was diagnosed in 2018 he did not share the news with fans until last year, when he missed Duran Duran being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The musician opened up in a letter read by his former bandmates at the event.
As a result more people knew about his diagnosis, and Taylor ended up being told about the PSMA therapy, which is available privately in the UK.
Talking about his new music, Taylor said: “There’s a couple of songs to my family which were written from that perspective of… you won’t be hearing me say this much longer so you put it into a song.”
The star’s new album, Man’s A Wolf To Man, is due to be unveiled in September.
Taylor joined Duran Duran in 1980 but left six years later to focus on his solo projects, although he later reunited with the band.
