Dwight Yoakam to the Beach Boys: Something for everyone in Montana State Fair concert lineup

The Montana State Fair has announced its 2022 concert lineup, according to a Thursday release.

The acts include Mini Pop Kids, The Beach Boys, Skillet, Chase Rice and Dwight Yoakam.

The fair takes place from July 29 through August 6. Mini Pop Kids performs July 30, The Beach Boys on the 31st, skillet on August 1, Chase Rice on August 5, and Dwight Yoakam on August 6.

According to its website, Mini Pop Kids is a Canadian musical group made up of eight young performers. They have a large YouTube following and are currently touring the U.S. and Canada.

Formed in 1961, The Beach Boys is one of the most commercially successful bands of all time, according to the band’s Wikipedia page. The four current members have all been with the group for decades, some since its inception.

Skillet is an American Christian rock band known for its songs, “Monster,” “The Last Night,” and “Whispers in the Dark.” The band’s tour includes music from its new album, “Dominion.”

Chase Rice is country singer also known for his stint on the reality TV show, “Survivor: Nicaragua.” He has five albums, including his newest, “The Album,” released in 2021.

Dwight Yoakam is a longtime country singer who had big hits in the 1980s and ‘90s with “Guitars, Cadillacs,” “Honky Tonk Man” and “Little Ways.” According to Wikipedia, his most recent studio album was in 2016.
