DWU volleyball earns 10th win with victory over Morningside
Sep. 18—SIOUX CITY, Iowa. — The 18th-ranked Dakota Wesleyan Tigers picked up their third Great Plains Athletic Conference volleyball win of the season against Morningside on Saturday.
The Tigers got the win in three sets over Morningside on the road. Set scores were 25-20, 25-23 and 25-20.
DWU hit .308 as a team in the first set and pulled away after the set was tied at 11. The Tigers came back from a 12-5 deficit in the second set to take a 2-0 lead in the match. DWU led for the entire third set to secure the win.
As a team, DWU hit .172 with 36 kills. Ady Dwight paced the Tigers with 10 kills to go along with two blocks. Hanna Reiff led the team with 17 digs, and Madeline Else had 34 set assists in the three-set win.
DWU (10-2, 3-1 GPAC) goes back on the road on Wednesday, Sept. 21 to take on No. 4 Jamestown.
