Sep. 20—MITCHELL — Dakota Wesleyan University senior libero Hanna Reiff was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference's volleyball defender of the week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Reiff, a senior from Chester, tallied 38 digs in the pair of wins last week, going for 21 digs in the four-set win against Northwestern and had 17 in a three-set sweep of the Mustangs. It is the third time in her career she has been named defender of the week, after winning twice in 2021.
She ranks No. 23 in the nation in digs per set for the season and has logged 235 in 12 matches to date. She has 1,300 digs for her career, which ranks 10th in DWU school history.
DWU (10-2, 3-1 GPAC) plays at No. 4-ranked Jamestown on Wednesday, Sept. 21 in Jamestown, N.D.
